About Portland Pumpkins
Hi! I’m Hudson!
I’m the person behind every detail of Portland Pumpkins — from the emails and DMs to planning, design, and hauling stacks of gourds onto porches. I’ve always loved fall. There’s just something about the air, warm light, and the way a porch can be instantly transformed with pumpkins, hay, and seasonal color.
That love of atmosphere and design eventually led me to study Industrial Design at RISD, where I learned how to think about space, form, and storytelling in both interiors and exteriors. But long before that, I was arranging and re-arranging my own spaces — dorm rooms, bedrooms, and always decorating for holidays — just to see how design could change the way people feel.
Outside of this seasonal work, I’m a designer at heart. I spend my time building products, experimenting with materials, and dreaming up projects that merge function, play, and storytelling. But this pumpkin business brings me back to why I fell in love with design in the first place: the joy of shaping spaces that bring people together.
